Hollands Hope is a long recognized outdoor variety, one of the first fully acclimatized in the Netherlands, from the early 1980s. It is known for its resistance to mold and frost. The plant is ready for harvest in late September or early October after about 8 weeks of flowering. This is a high quality indica that tolerates being grown outdoors in a Dutch climate but will also do well in other climates. Plants usually reach 1-2 m in height and give large harvests. Plants can be grown anywhere, yielding from 100 to 1000 g per plant, depending on the growing conditions. Be careful not to overdo the fertilizer, as it will cause large leaf growth and consequently decrease the production of buds. Hollands Hope has been a solid and efficient outdoor plant for years, the drought has a sweet flavor and causes a heavy knockdown-style stonewash that will appeal to recreational smokers and medical marijuana smokers. It takes a good few hours to get stoned, which is another reason many growers have been growing Hollands Hope for years. In the best cases, the plant grows like a dense, sprawling bush, producing a bountiful harvest. This strain has been recommended by a generation of outdoor growers.
